My work connects with the theme experiments because it is built on curiosity, risk, and discovery. I approach each piece as an open-ended challenge, allowing unexpected outcomes to shape the final result. By combining unconventional materials, layering contrasting ideas, and embracing mistakes as part of the process, I treat the canvas like a laboratory — a place where failure is as valuable as success. This experimental mindset invites viewers to explore multiple interpretations, mirroring the unpredictable nature of the creative journey itself."

Jennifer Psalmonds is a Shreveport-based artist whose work spans from abstracts and Louisiana-inspired pieces to her signature Goddess collection—portraits of women adorned with flowers and crowns that celebrate beauty, resilience, and strength. Inspired by Sicilian Moorish head pottery, she translates that quiet power onto canvas with bold color and texture. Her art has been featured in collaborations with Wexel Art, HomeGoods, HGTV’s Tamara Day, and Urban Garden Prints.
