Artist Statement:

Powerful, elegant, emotional creatures. I spend most of my work life observing and documenting. Capturing moments that tell the story in one image. Watching animals be themselves, I found this sweet moment of them relaxed. Our lives are filled with these seemingly fleeting moments, that are actually significant. 

Sara Kerens is a NYC-based photographer who has set out to capture the human experience. Her work has been featured at the International Center of Photography in NYC, in her collaborative book, Displaced, documenting refugees across Europe, in coverage for NY and Paris Fashion week and around the world for iconic brands such as Jeep, Anthropologie, Christian Siriano, Yes Way Rose, and figures such as Margaret Thatcher, Coco Rocha, Cardi B, Lil Wayne, Susan Sarandon, and Alan Cumming.
