Brittany Bouyer

Artist Statement:

Owning my story has meant working through the grief of losing my deepest connection to unconditional love: my mom. Losing her has taken so much of my energy and thrown my life for a loop that I never could have prepared for. I’ve leaned into this grief and let it show up whenever it needs, often in my creative pursuits just to simply survive.

Artist Bio:

Brittany Bouyer is an artist, pattern designer and teacher living in Chicago. Brittany has an Art Education degree and has been a working artist for over 12 years learning new technical art skills along the way. Her work integrates themes of women and empowering them.
