Artist Statement:

While painting "Creatively" I let the piece lead the way. As the poem "Creativity" states "there's nothing quite like creativity leaving the body". I truly felt that as I poured paint which eventually formed the ground guiding me toward creating a softer more delicate floral composition. I didn’t know that long stemmy flowers would emerge from just a few green drips. When I paint I follow what the paint suggests, not what the art world expects.

Margaret Harris, after leaving media sales to study painting under local experts, is a Dallas-based abstract painter who’s works are shaped by memory, emotion, and the natural world. Inspired by the open skies and landscapes of her Texas upbringing, she blends collected images with an intuitive process to create soft, meditative works.
