Artist Statement:

For me it all originates back to flowers. No matter how spiritual or scientifically adherent one is in making sense of life, you may find a floral bloom is well defined by both the book title and the poem in it, "Creativity". Line by line the poem Creativity is highly evocative of the bloom in progress for me, as if capturing the process in prose. Paintings of flowers are my original artform, and one that I revisit frequently- my studio is lined with them. To be frank though, I feel many of the poems in the book should get a painting as I found the whole collection rather comforting to read.
