Artist Statement:

I strive to uncover unique perspectives in everyday life, whether it’s : objects, structures, people or situations. Through the layering of intricate detail and vibrant color, my goal is to ignite curiosity and imagination, drawing viewers into a deeper dialogue. This conversation reveals the shared humanity that connects us all, ultimately fostering a paradigm shift toward creativity, positivity, and the vitality we each possess.

My figurative work narrates my personal journey and experiences as an African American woman, mother, wife, artist, and businesswoman. My artwork identities that which is often overlooked in society. Through my art, I bring these underrepresented voices to the forefront, offering a visual narrative that challenges perspectives and offers new insights.

For me, art must have purpose. I often ask myself, “Why create if you’re not trying to say something?” Through my work, I strive to amplify meaningful conversations, provoke thought, and inspire change.
